For properties that have a legitimate reason to collect check-in documents, Bonsori keeps stay details, document upload, host review and concierge access in one flow. The host chooses whether ID is required for each property.

How does Bonsori guest ID verification work?
The guest opens the property's StayLink and confirms their name, email and stay dates. If the property requires ID, the guest selects one or more documents and submits the complete verification once. The concierge remains locked while the host reviews the submission.
After approval, the stay receives a temporary four-digit PIN. Concierge access opens according to the stay window, normally one day before check-in, and expires after checkout.

What hosts and guests should understand
ID collection is sensitive. The product needs a clear purpose, minimal collection and an understandable access lifecycle.
The host chooses whether ID is necessary
Bonsori does not require ID for every stay. The setting is controlled per property so a host can use simple stay confirmation where documents are unnecessary and enable approval only for a lawful building, insurance, registration or check-in requirement.
Hosts should explain why documents are requested and collect only what is needed for that purpose.
The guest sees a single submission flow
Selecting a file should not feel like a separate upload process. Bonsori holds the selected documents in the form, shows the filenames, and uploads them when the guest submits the stay verification.
After submission, the guest sees what happens next: the host reviews the documents, approval does not necessarily mean immediate concierge access, and access normally opens one day before arrival.
Access ends with the stay
The four-digit PIN is linked to the approved guest, property and stay window. It is not a permanent account password and should stop working after checkout.
Completed stays move into the host's previous-stays view rather than remaining in the active queue. Hosts can permanently remove a record where appropriate, while legal or operational retention obligations remain the host's responsibility.
Bonsori verification is separate from Airbnb identity verification
Bonsori provides a host-controlled check-in document workflow around a confirmed stay. It does not replace Airbnb's own identity checks, guarantee that a document is genuine, or decide whether a host has a lawful basis to request it. Hosts remain responsible for applicable platform rules and data-protection requirements.

Can a host turn ID verification off?+
Yes. The requirement is set per property. When it is off, the guest can complete the necessary stay details without uploading ID.
Can a guest upload multiple documents?+
Yes. The StayLink document flow supports multiple selected files followed by one final verification submission.
Can the host see the document before approving?+
Yes. The host can show, hide and expand the secure inline preview before approving or rejecting the guest's concierge access.
Does Bonsori automatically verify that an ID is genuine?+
No. Bonsori stores and presents the submitted check-in document for host review. It does not currently provide automated government-database or biometric identity verification.
